Millions of Shark Species are caught each year through fishing, by-catch and sport. Many sharks are not able to sustain their rate of reproduction and thus their numbers are falling to record levels. Sharks need to exist in order to keep the balance and equillibrium of nature at sea. Shark Oceanarium Consultants Ltd. are one of the only U.K Based Companies to preserve shark species by importing various Species of Tropical & Sub-Tropical Sharks proven to adapt well in aquariums & Oceanariums and by breeding them in captivity for personal & Commercial Shark Aquariums as well as for release back into the wild we help keep numbers up. In doing so we are able to learn more about particular species, their biology and characteristics while saving a small number from being killed through fishing, sport or by-catch. We are also able to educate many people about sharks to dissolve the stigma that they are vicious killing machines. Many sharks that go to Personal or Commercial Aquariums live out long and content lives and some breed in captivity signifying that they are happy and healthy.
